Outline planning permission has been obtained for the development of 3.4ha of agricultural land on the edge of Stalmine for 77 dwellings, together with a car park for the adjacent primary school.
De Pol were instructed by the landowners, who comprise a number of local residents, to seek outline planning permission. Whilst the site is currently designated as countryside in the adopted Local Plan we demonstrated that the proposal comprises sustainable development which would secure a wide range of benefits for the community, including helping to address Wyre’s housing needs. Having progressed through the pre-application stage with Council officers and following a positive public consultation exercise, an outline planning application was submitted to Wyre Borough Council. Planning permission was granted and De Pol, together with other advisors, assisted the landowners in the promotion of the site up to its disposal to a developer.
