Project Description

De Pol were appointed to obtain planning permission to change the use of two vacant retail units in the village of Longton into a restaurant.

The proposal was constrained by limited parking, less than ideal site access from the highway and the need to provide extraction equipment that would not harm the residential amenity of the first floor occupiers.

De Pol assembled a project team which included obtaining expert advice from highway engineers and worked with the restaurateur to agree the extraction details. We prepared and submitted the application, handling all post-submission negotiations with South Ribble Council.
