De Pol was initially approached to provide advice on the development potential of 6.74 hectares of greenfield land on the edge of Darwen, which was identified as Green Belt land in the adopted Blackburn with Darwen Local Plan.
Mix use development for 470 dwellings in Allscott
De Pol were instructed as lead consultant by a joint partnership venture between British Sugar and Northern Trust. We successfully obtained outline planning permission for the mixed use redevelopment of a former sugar beet industrial site and adjacent farmland in the Shropshire countryside near Telford. The proposal included 470 dwellings, a primary school, business enterprise hub, retail units, doctors surgery with pharmacy, community allotments, sport and recreational facilities including a new pavilion, public open space and biodiversity enhancements.
